Today, the National Center for Mental Health Promotion signed a cooperation agreement with the Abdulaziz Bin Talal and Sora Bint Saud Foundation for Human Development “Ahyaha”, which aims to support and enhance the level of mental health of the foundation’s target groups of (300) women in a number of cities in the Kingdom.
Mashael bint Faisal Al-Rasheed, Executive Director of the Live It Human Foundation, confirmed that this partnership achieves noble goals to serve an important group in society. Signs of addiction among members of her family or her community, and knowledge of the optimal initial psychological interventions for each case, which will achieve higher psychological protection, protection from the development of psychological disorder or addiction, and faster access to psychological services if needed.
For her part, the supervisor of the initial psychological assistance program, specialist Haifa Al-Ashewi, explained that the signing of the agreement comes within the framework of the center’s keenness to build effective strategic partnerships and provide quality programs that will contribute to raising the level of psychological awareness in the community.
It is noteworthy that the initial psychological assistance program was launched in Australia in 1997 and has been transferred to more than (25) countries around the world. The National Center for Mental Health Promotion in the Kingdom is the first in the Middle East to offer this program and the fourteenth internationally.
